West Cheshire Culture Partnership
The Culture Partnership has formed to develop a joined-up approach to campaigning for more engagement and more investment in culture…
Our Purpose
To work together to increase the number and range of people in West Cheshire that have the opportunity to create and experience culture.
Together we will develop a Culture Manifesto which will set out a programme of activity to support this purpose.
Who is it for?
Anyone delivering creative or cultural activities in West Cheshire can join the Partnership. You could be:
- A creative freelancer
- A professional or community organisation, company or group that focuses on delivering creative and cultural activity and/or experiences
- An arts or heritage festival
- A cultural visitor attraction
- An educational institution with a particular focus on arts and culture
- An organisation that supports development in the cultural and creative sector

What do we mean by culture?
We use culture as a broad term to include arts and heritage. Below are two definitions we are following:
“Creativity is the process by which, either individually or with others, we make something new: a work of art, or a reimagining of an existing work. Culture is the result of that creative process: we encounter it in the world, in museums and libraries, theatres and galleries, carnivals and concert halls, festivals and digital spaces.”
– Arts Council England
“Heritage can be anything from the past that you value and want to pass on to future generations.”
– National Lottery Heritage Fund

Why join?
By joining the Culture Partnership, you will:
- Gain increased visibility for you and your organisation
- Wider awareness for your activities
- Help develop the Cultural Manifesto and its programme
- Enjoy the opportunity to connect with others and develop new partnerships and collaborations
- Share and receive information about events and opportunities

What will you be committing to?

Over the next few months, you could help by:

- Contributing to the development of resources, including images, quotes and case studies that help show the need and value of culture
All these activities are optional, and are designed to build on what you are already doing.
