The partnership is designed to be a collective of individuals and organisations, it’s not led by any one of those.

A working group made up of representatives from Cheshire Dance, Cheshire Rural Touring Arts, Cheshire West & Chester, Storyhouse and Theatre Porto has been meeting regularly to develop and plan activities. Any member is welcome to join these meetings – please email exec.support@storyhouse.com for details of the upcoming meetings.

The Culture Partnership will be developed by those that want to contribute thoughts, time and ideas.

The Manifesto and content will be created and owned by the members. All members will be invited to make pledges which will create an active programme (the content) that can be used to help with advocacy and campaigns for access to culture and creativity.

The initial aims are in the ‘Why join?’ section. To start with it will be about promoting and supporting other cultural organisations and activity in the area.

At the moment the thinking is more about advocating for funding for the sector (not the partnership). It provides an opportunity to network which may lead to some organisations collaborating on joint funding bids, if that feels appropriate for them.

Currently there are no plans for the Culture Partnership to become a body that distributes funds.

Any individuals, groups or organisations who are involved in delivering or supporting creative activity in the borough of Cheshire West are invited to join as a member.
