Make a Pledge!
We are inviting all members to make a pledge towards the Partnership’s aim – to increase the number and range of people in West Cheshire that have the opportunity to create and experience culture – to form part of a Culture Manifesto that will underpin our campaign and set out how we are going to achieve this increase.
What is a pledge?
A pledge is a kind of promise or commitment to taking some action – in this case, towards increasing the number and range of people that have the opportunity to create and experience culture in West Cheshire.
Pledges are intended to be self-policing – you are making this pledge on behalf of yourself or your group or organisation, and it is up to you to measure your success in delivering it.
Your Culture Manifesto pledge can be something you are already planning to do, or something additional or new. Together the pledges will help show how the creative and cultural sector is working to increase engagement.
We are currently looking for pledges of activity that will take place between April 2025 – March 2026 but you can include activity that falls outside of these dates.

Your Pledge
Please consider the following when making your pledge:
Make it active – start with ‘We will….’ Or ‘I will’ if you are an individual working freelance.
Consider what you plan to increase – are you looking to increase the number of people that you reach with your activity, or are you looking to reach new or different people to those you are already engaging?
Make it specific – how many more people will you reach, or from which target communities? Express this as a number or percentage so you are able to measure it.
Tell us how or what you are planning to do to achieve the increase – for example, are you putting on additional activity, working in a new or different way or in a new place?
Timescale – indicate by when you hope to have achieved your ambition.
